Nuts and Bolts of Prenatal Exposure to Alcohol - February 17th

Jody Allen Crowe, an author, educator, public speaker, and founder of Healthy Brains for Children, will conduct training on prenatal exposure to alcohol at the Grand Rapids Public Library on Feb. 17 at 6:30.  His training will provide the participant with the knowledge to identify physical characteristics of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, the exhibitions of brain damage in academic and social behaviors, the secondary disabilities of prenatal exposure to alcohol, the impact on our schools, community, and society, and an overview of the body of research that has developed over the past forty years.  This training is being presented by Healthy Brains for Children, Grand Rapids Chapter in preparation for their first public awareness even staffing a booth at the Wellness Expo on Feb. 27.  The public is welcome to participate in this training.

Healthy Brains for Children is a charitable non-profit organization with a mission of stopping prenatal exposure to alcohol.  The Healthy Brains for Children, Grand Rapids Chapter was founded in September, 2009.
