Opportunities for Non-profits in Grand Rapids

Two opportunities for nonprofits in Grand Rapids coming up in the next four weeks. On November 29 the Minnesota Citizen's League will be looking for your input on the state budget. On December 9 you will have an opportunity to learn about bulk mailings.

Your opinion on the Minnesota State Budget is requested November 29

With funding from the Bush Foundation, the Citizens League is launching a series of 25 statewide community workshops, giving Minnesotans an opportunity to weigh in on the troublesome state budget crisis. According to the Citizen's League, "the workshops are informative, fast-paced and interactive -- illuminating the current reality of the state budget, examining future trends, and asking participants to identify values and priorities they think should help frame state budget decisions for the coming decade and beyond. Findings will be presented to our newly elected governor and Legislature in January 2011."
